David N. Baker is the Managing Principal of Mercadyne, a corporate finance advisory firm focused upon going public transactions for microcap companies. For the last 25 years, Mr. Baker has been a financial markets professional. He has extensive experience managing capital for institutional and accredited investors and financing start-up companies. Mr. Baker has raised significant capital for both private and public micro-capitalization companies. He has led as investment principal, originating, structuring and investing in going public transactions for numerous emerging growth companies, as well as advising them in all stages of their corporate lifecycle, from startup through subsequent public financings. In addition, his career has included positions as the managing principal of two previous hedge funds, other investment management capacities, technology and healthcare merchant banking, proprietary trading and securities brokerage. 

Mr. Baker has co-authored two financial analytics patents, including a design for product/service hierarchy database for market competition and investment analysis, as well as a patent for a granular method for index performance by sector. Mr. Baker earned a B.A. in 1989 from the University of Colorado and received a J.D. in 1992 from Golden Gate University, with a focus on securities; and has previously held Series 7, 63, 65 and 55 securities licenses. He is also the Founder and Managing Member of Mercadyne Automated Properties LLC, the management company for 24-7 Automated Storage, our portfolio of self storage businesses. Mercadyne Automated Properties, LLC (M.A.P.) with its brand, 24-7 Automated Storage and our investors acquire, re-develop and operate self storage properties.
